Production Manager, Business Operations (Marina del Rey, CA)

As a member of SONY DADC’s New Media Solutions Production Management team this position will be responsible for the management of projects from Sony DADC customers and will serve as a liaison between the internal operations teams to ensure successful delivery.

Java Application Developer (Marina del Rey, CA)

The Java Application Developer will help design, develop and maintain key software frameworks and associated services. The individual will work closely in a team consisting of Applications Administrators and Developers to produce solutions that meet the stated requirements, as well as develop detailed specifications to guide implementation.

Sr. Technical Project Manager (Marina Del Rey, CA)

The Sony DADC Senior Technical Project Manager will be organizing and synchronizing activities for a stream of fast-paced projects, interweaving internal resources with third party partners and vendors. The ideal candidate will be excellent at breaking down problems into manageable pieces and instinctively help improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of interactions, processes and team members. You must be able to zip through administrative project management functions and trivial tasks while managing complexities that require in depth understanding and mediation skills.

Operations Manager, Consumer Media Services (Marina Del Rey, CA)

The DADC Operations Manager, Consumer Media Services will be running the day-to-day activities of various Digital Media storefronts, promotional online campaigns and interactive services. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader that is able to efficiently coach daily activities involved in running multiple businesses smoothly while taking decisive actions for issues as they arise. This person will be a detailed planner that that is ready to take on an organizational role. You must be able to communicate calmly and clearly under pressure while conveying urgency and importance to internal team members and third party vendors. Responsibilities require a deep understanding of our business and our obligations that help our customers run their business.

Systems Engineer, Managed Services Operations (Marina Del Rey, CA)

The DADC Systems Engineer, Managed Services Operations will be administering consumer facing and back-office systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise designing, running and maintaining Linux and Windows based systems that host web sites, eCommerce solutions, online multimedia services and time-sensitive streaming/messaging services. A majority of the time, you will be working closely with our managed services and cloud partners but will also be expected to work hands-on as needed, typically for escalation or for new projects. Our services require high-availability; they’re typically available worldwide; and they encounter spike traffic based on new release entertainment products and seasonality effects. The candidate will be required to help setup the infrastructure supporting rapid or sporadic flows of our pilots/proof-of-concepts and development/integration/test environments in addition to regular projects and production environments, which will require great organization skills and multi-tasking capabilities.

Software Engineer, Digital Rights Management (Marina Del Rey, CA)

The DADC Software Engineer – Digital Rights Management will take on the role of subject matter expert of third party DRM solutions (e.g. PlayReady, Flash Access, Widevine, Marlin and OMA) and be responsible for the integration of DRMs into our platform and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating, setting up, integrating and running at least two of the DRMs referenced above in a consumer facing service for digital media. This role will also support other groups on activities related to DRM, e.g. helping the content media engineering & content operations teams to setup content packaging workflows and working with the security team on content and playback security assessments.

Solutions Architect, Direct-to-Consumer Services (Marina Del Rey, CA)

The DADC Solutions Architect – Direct-to-Consumer Services will be responsible for the architecture and technical guidance for a new suite of consumer facing services that Sony DADC Digital Services will offer to its customers in the Media & Entertainment space. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with all aspects of building and running digital distribution services by collaboratively providing leadership to team members from multiple disciplines at varying levels. You’ll be required to balance technical aspects with business and financial considerations in all aspects of architecture & design, technology selection and team/resource management. In addition to a solid technology background based in architecture, design and development, this position will also require a keen sense of user experience and consumer trends for digital media, including technologies that expand into consumer electronics, mobile and market dominant platforms and ecosystems. This role requires effective and evangelistic communication skills to promote our solutions internally and externally.

Software Engineer, Mobile/CE Devices (Marina Del Rey, CA)

The DADC Software Engineer – Mobile/CE Devices will be developing a wide range of media-centric applications and widgets targeted at mobile and consumer electronic devices, including iOS, Android, Flash/AIR and Silverlight platforms. The ideal candidate will be able to materialize efficient and unique experiences on a wide range of mobile/CE devices, making clever decisions on technology selections and implementation strategies along the way. Our applications and widgets combine video, real-time syncing, social media integration, alternate/augmented reality and general gaming type functionality. This role will work closely with our product and API teams, as well as prospective customers for both prototypes and consumer release projects.

Web Developer (Marina Del Rey, CA)

The DADC Web Developer will be developing the code to render various types of content and experiences on PCs, mobile handsets, tablets and other consumer electronics devices. The ideal candidate will be a master of HTML, CSS and Javascript, pushing the boundaries of implementing unique user experiences in browser based environments. In certain cases, the implementation will be focused on ensuring a wide range of compatibility or providing elegantly degrading experiences on low resource environments. In other cases, the experience will take advantage of platform specifics for an extremely engaging experience. In all cases, the bar will be set high to deliver clean, structured HTML, CSS and Javascript. The nature of our projects will also sometimes require working under tight timelines, frequent iterations and complex integrations.

Software Engineer (Culver City, CA)

The Software Engineer position provides administrative and technical support for the Research and Development function supporting Sony DADC, including both the U.S. and global entities. The position is responsible for assisting with technical capture requirements, designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages, software testing and quality assurance. This person will support, maintain and document software functionality as well as evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation. They will be responsible for performance tuning and optimization of software modules and deploying modules to production servers. Also, training 3rd party vendors and internal groups and helping troubleshoot software integration issues.
